SOPREMA supports the French University foundation of Strasbourg

The 2010-2014 fundraising campaign for the University of Strasbourg, the University hospitals of Strasbourg and the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) of Strasbourg in France, has raised more than € 22.5 million.

The most generous donation made between 2010 and 2014 is the donation from SOPREMA, which agreed to sign a € 2.3 million sponsorship agreement for the benefit of the University of Strasbourg foundation.

SOPREMA decided to support the University of Strasbourg for the long term. The company will choose, each year, the field on witch donations will be allocated: scholarship foundation, trainings (engineering, management…) or research programs (chemistry, materials…). Money paid will be used to fund laboratories, research projects, trainings or even scholarship foundation.

The gesture of SOPREMA supports the interaction between the higher education, the research and the requirements of industry: providing funding to an institution of higher education, it is its own future that SOPREMA preparing, by allowing the training of its future colleagues and researchers who could, one day, put their services to the company.
